Cordyceps
sinensis is a mushroom with broad ranging medicinal properties
applied in traditional Chinese medicine for many centuries, and in
a similar manner to Ganoderma lucidum has become
increasingly utilised in western medicine. Research has shown that
Cordyceps sinensis has properties of free radical
scavenging, anti-senesence, anti-atherosclerotic effects, is
restorative of sexual function and protective against renal disease
and toxicity.
Traditional use of this
herb was for respiratory health, increasing energy, assisting
